The Mongolia Green Bond Guidelines are intended to provide clarity and guidance on application of the Green Bond Issuance regulation issued by the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia. In addition, the Guidelines document aims to facilitate awareness building on the importance of Green Bond and promote a domestic green bond market in Mongolia. The Guidelines build on Mongolia’s commitments to the Paris Agreement, its National Green Development Policy, the Mongolia Sustainable Finance Roadmap, the Financial Market Development Program, the National Green Taxonomy and the Green Bond Market Readiness Assessment Report. The Guidelines document is intended to inform and engage Mongolian market participants in determining rules and standards of the market. Those participants include, but are not limited to potential issuers, investors, intermediaries, stock exchange, external reviewers, government, regulators and financial sector associations.
